mToken CryptoID is a USB crypto token made by Century Longmai. It holds your Digital Signature Certificate and its private key, and it does every signing operation inside the token, so the key never leaves the device. In India, Class 3 and DGFT certificates must be stored on a FIPS-validated USB token like this one.
FIPS 140-3 Level 3 validated
The mToken CryptoID module is validated to FIPS 140-3, the current US standard for cryptographic modules, at Overall Level 3 (NIST certificate #4845, October 2024). Level 3 adds physical tamper resistance and identity-based authentication on top of the lower levels.
View certificate on NISTPowered by a secure chip
Inside is a 32-bit smart-card chip, the kind used in bank cards, running its own chip operating system (COS). When you sign, encrypt or decrypt, the work happens on the chip, so your private key can't be copied off the token.
Driver support
Windows recognises the token as a smart-card device as soon as you plug it in. Drivers are available for Windows and macOS.
Setting it up
To use it with DSC portals and signing software, install the mToken driver once.
